Orchard Road
Singapore is a shopaholics' paradise, with Orchard Road at its throne. The world-renowned shopping street is flanked with 22 shopping malls, 6 major departmental stores and close to 5,000 brands to choose from.

Several malls are home to the flagship stores of international brands. ION Orchard, for example, boasts the flagship stores of luxury brands such as Cartier, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani and Louis Vuitton. Both Prada and Sephora has its largest flagship stores here, in Asia Pacific and Asia respectively. Shoppers will also enjoy Knightsbridge, a four-storey retail podium in Grand Park Orchard hotel. It is home to flagship stores including Malmaison by The Hour Glass; wildly-popular American brand Abercrombie & Fitch – its second store in Asia after Tokyo, and Topshop, which has a Fashion Concierge service that includes bag delivery and personal shopper service, all done to enhance the shopping experience.

Across the road from Knightsbridge, shoppers will find Swedish retailer, H&M, complete with three storeys of fashion, accessories and footwear for men, women, teens and kids. This first outlet in Southeast Asia is popular among many. Stroll down to 313@Somerset, home to a Forever 21's flagship store, which consists of four levels of fashion items. The mall also has popular brands such as Esprit, New Look, Uniqlo and Zara. The Centrepoint is a short walk away and houses the iconic Robinsons departmental store and quality retailer Marks and Spencer.

After the glorious shopping along the 2.2-km Orchard Road, extend the fun by exploring Scotts Road, before heading back to Wheelock Place, Palais Renaissance and perhaps further on to Tanglin Mall. Shoppers may also be interested to continue to Plaza Singapura, and explore further shopping destinations such as Raffles City Shopping Centre, Suntec City Mall, Marina Square, Millenia Walk, Esplanade Mall and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

Outside Orchard Road
The 24/7 Mustafa Centre in Little India has gained an almost cult status among shoppers for its sheer variety of goods and services and affordable prices. Business is bustling at the two inter-connected, six-storey blocks throughout the day. Available services include visa assistance, currency exchange and remittance. The shopping selection spans across apparels, electronic and items, household goods, sports equipment, cosmetic products, accessories, timepieces, food and groceries, souvenirs… the list goes on.

Shoppers who are interested in "cultural" shopping may turn to ethnic enclaves such as Chinatown, Haji Lane, Kampong Glam and Little India. Additionally, visit Holland Village, Dempsey Road and Bugis Street, all of which are areas favoured by expatriates. You will find a wonderful choices of antiques, fabric, jewellery and worthy ornaments and souvenirs.
